What do you get when you cross the breathtaking welsh countryside with a entirely kick ass couple? My august bank holiday that’s what! When I first met Cait, she showed me around Deri’s parents home and grounds and talked me through their plans for the celebration; I could really visualise exactly what the day would be like and knew right away how much fun it was going to be photograph.
This Wedding didn’t need any frills to make it fantastic, these guys compiled all the necessities for a banging party: a massive marquee filled with a bar, a dancefloor and a table of homemade sugary goodness alongside a set up serving only the finest hog roast to fuel hungry guests in preparation for the arrival of the DJ – and finally luxury cars parked up outside that where literally part of the day as if they were special guests!
Cait & Deri were completely the most relaxed laid back couple in one way and the most energetic soulful crazies in others. If any part of the day summed them up I think it would have to be how their Wedding cake was a modest family favourite caterpillar cake…to which they cut apart with mighty swords!!
All of the guests on the day were such fantastic sports, throwing confetti through the rain and making me feel completely part of the party! Not to mention Cait not giving a hoot about how much mud her dress picked up. This was one Wedding I really wished I’d have loved to have been a guest at, room for one more on the marquee floor anyone?
