When weddings are this utterly lovely they really do make me realise how special and wonderful my job is. After what I believe was a pretty hectic last minute build up to the day they finally made it to this warm August morning with everything in place ready to be enjoyed!
I spent my morning dotting between both Debs parents home, enjoying the laughter of her niece and nephew and calm atmosphere, and her and Andys house a little down the road which was filled with the welcoming smell of bacon sandwiches and a excited anticipation in the air as the boys got ready to go.
The service was held at St Peters church in Heswall which was a grand space, filled with music performed by friends of the couple and accompanied by singing guests, a lovely thing to experience after a long time of this not being allowed during wedding ceremonies. Afterward the rain clouds cleared just time for the church yard to be filled with the wonderful floral aromas of natural confetti as it was tossed over Debs & Andy making some truly beautiful photographs.
A marquee on Andys family farm was the setting for the reception and it was decorated beautifully with match floral displays, a delicious cake display and other decorative bits and bobs. I loved photographing all of these lovely welcoming people enjoy each others company, listen to heart warming speeches and drink and enjoy good BBQ food.
The entire day was relaxed, beautiful and absolutely charming and it was such bliss to photograph, not to mention how natural and fun Andy & Debs were to photograph! The muddy dress will absolutely be worth the gorgeous photos we go in the long grass at the field, thank you for making me feel so welcome and being such a pleasure to work with!
