Liverpool City Centre Elopement

Days like this make me feel truly blessed to do this job, the people I meet and moments I capture make everything about it so magical. Aylanah got in touch with me a few months ago, telling me her own story of how covid messed up her and Connor’s wedding plans, she never told it with sadness though, only with a smile and an enthusiasm about the re jigged celebrations!

Aylanah and Connors wedding spread over 2 wonderful days, a service in Canada where they live and celebrating with all of their Canadian loved ones, and then jetting to Liverpool to celebrate a second time with Aylanah’s family. Liverpool holds a special place in the heart of this beautiful couple, not only does Aylanah have many roots here but they also got engaged on the pier head, so a city centre based event seemed only fitting.

The new Mr & Mrs enjoyed a first look as Aylanah beamed in her original wedding gown before the 3 of us took to the waterfront for photos. The father of the bride met Aylanah at the bottom at the stairs and walked his daughter to where the family gathered in the church garden of the iconic St Nicholas’s. After some family formal photographs, the brides uncle gave a wonderful blessing and then I joined the whole party walking across exchange flags where an intimate cocktail reception awaited everyone.

My time with these guys was short and sweet but by no means short of special moments and memories. Thank you so much for having me!
