Never before have I seen so many happy faces amongst guests at a wedding and never before have I witnessed a smile as infectious as Jodie’s! These two were just absolutely gorgeous inside and out, and they invited their loved ones to a wedding that was as colourful and charming as Jodie & Lewis themselves. One thing I absolutely adore when it comes to weddings is when there are real personal touches and even better when they are handmade, it is so unique and special and this celebration in Skipton was not short of any of these things! Jodie being a keen gardener had grown her own bridal flowers, tied together with material from her grandmother – and she even made her own confetti from dried floral pickings. She even made the cake toppers herself!
After a lovely ceremony at the nearby chapel, Utopia at Broughton Hall was the perfect venue to allow these guys to make it their own, and they took advantage of the entire setting; everywhere you turned there was another traditional lawn game being enjoyed by guests, an array of bubbles being blown by the children or something else handmade by Jodie herself (my personal favourite being the photobooth!!).
The day was just magical, right down to the sparkly white pumps beneath the traditional dress of Jodie’s – and lets not forget Lewis who looked absolutely top in the blue and mustard shades alongside his groomsmen, with a tie pin and cufflinks to blend in with the woodland themes on the day.
So Jodie & Lewis, I give you your preview of just a smidge of everything I captured on the day – I hope they have you smiling as much as you had me laughing with your completely informal faces during formal photographs!!
