There is nothing better than booking a wedding and just knowing right away that you are going to fit right in and thoroughly enjoy the day. I actually met Emily a long while ago back in my teenage festival days, those care free times in a field, full of cider and muddy wellies. So I knew right away that her and Jimmy would be a fun couple to photograph, and it was no surprise whatsoever that their theme would be a big old muddy festival!
Hawarden Castle Pavillion was the perfect setting for a wedding, with a fully equipped tipi ready for a boozy party and a stunning view over the meadows. When we arrived the beers were flowing and the typical august showers did not bother anybody one bit, in fact if you ask me it can make outdoor weddings even more unique and real! Group photos were so much fun with plenty of cheering, laughter and even professional posing dogs.
Guests poured in as the afternoon went on, beer jacket ready after a liquid lunch on a coach from Liverpool and full of excitement to see their friends marry each other. Emily looked absolutely gorgeous and…well just like Emily! Not one part of her bridal look stepped away from her own personal style and I absolutely lived for it.
This wedding was utterly real, laid back and wonderful. There was no strict order to the day but a couple of words were spoken by loved ones bringing a few tears to the crowd. It was such a pleasure to be a part of this colourful, beautiful day. Thank you so much Emily & Jimmy!
