To find myself in the Double Tree Hotel, photographing Jades dress and shoes on the morning of her and Marks wedding I felt a sudden immense feeling of happiness! I have known Jade and Mark now for a couple of years since it was that long ago they asked me to join them to photograph their wedding. And in that time I feel I have been on the whole journey through the pandemic and the uncertainty of their plans with them.
At last the day finally arrived and it was utterly perfect. The relief and joy was immense and heartwarming. The sun shone and a warm breeze gently streamed into the bridal suite to compliment the serene calmness of the morning.
Ahead of schedule and just excited to be married Jade met Mark at the top of the aisle inside St Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. The ceremony was heartfelt and formal photographs with their intimate guest list followed inside the stunning interior.
Jade wore her dress so naturally as if beautiful wedding dresses was all her wardrobe consisted of. We travelled back to the Double Tree to make the most of the breathtaking original corinthian features in side for their portraits. I could have stayed there all afternoon just photographing them being so in love.
Guests gathered at Chapters of Us awaiting the happy couple to join them and everyone then proceeded the enjoy the most fun, uplifting yet entirely relaxed afternoon. Ali Horn came along to soundtrack the evening and seeing guests up and moving, singing and smiling to the sounds of acoustic melodies really brought a tear to my eye. But most importantly, being there to witness the most perfect day for Jade & Mark was so special to me. It was an absolute pleasure to be there with them to capture it on camera.
